Zonis has taught at the University of Chicago since 1966, first in the Department of Political Science and the College; then the Committee on Human Development; and since 1988, at the Booth School of Business. He has won the Quantrell Award for "Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching". He continues as one of the most popular teachers at the University, and his classes at Booth are always oversubscribed. He is deeply committed to preparing students to be better citizens, better thinkers and better contributors to their countries.
